Tionni graduated from high school with ambition and a desire to make a difference in the world. She soon discovered that getting there is more than what she had been prepared for. Working odd jobs while trying to find direction was overwhelming. She knew that attending college was not the best investment of her time, so she signed up to participate in the Portland Youth Builders Program. This BIPOC community program with Habitat for Humanity provided Tionni with 6 months of residential construction experience. It was here that she recognized her passion for construction and affordable housing. As a mother her dream is to own a home herself one day. Tionni recognizes that her strength is working with people and believes she is most impactful when describing complicated processes in a way the customer can understand.
